Community Update: What’s New at WeddingPro Summer 2026
In recent conversations across our community, some of you have shared that consumer shifts are creating a slower, non-traditional booking rhythm this summer. This may be happening for different reasons in different markets; macroeconomic changes, generational and consumer behavior shifts, and new technology like AI to name a few.
We hear you, and helping you adapt to changing market conditions is important to us as partners in your business growth. And as we’ve seen before, the wedding industry is incredibly resilient.
While some cycles may be moving at a different pace right now, consumer demand is absolutely there. Our recent data shows that couples are adapting, not abandoning their plans. Consider the numbers driving the market right now:
- 95% of couples tell us that their commitment to celebrating their wedding is entirely non-negotiable.
- About 80% say they are looking forward to their wedding day more than anything else this year.
- 15 million unique monthly visitors are still actively browsing and planning across our platforms.
The demand is real. Here’s how we’re actively capturing that intent, alongside the concrete steps you can take to take control of your business growth.
Driving demand through smarter discovery
Thirty-six percent of couples now incorporate AI into their wedding searches and planning. We’re leveraging our 30 years of SEO authority to drive AEO and LLM visibility, ensuring your business shows up where modern couples are looking.
Most couples use AI suggestions as a starting point before doing their own research. When you partner with us, you get discovered across several channels and surfaces. Paired with your Storefronts on The Knot and WeddingWire, you can capture couple interest during that initial AI search and secure their trust when they jump over to our marketplaces to continue the conversation.
And we’re turning that visibility into momentum for your business:
- Leveraging Marketplace Authority in AI: When couples turn to AI for wedding vendor recommendations, The Knot and WeddingWire rank #1 and #2 in visibility across select AI platforms. That means having Storefronts on our platforms can help boost your AI search visibility.
- Deals & Incentives: Exclusive discounts motivate couples to book—41% of couples say deals increase their interest in contacting or booking a vendor. You can always enable deals to help fill your calendar, and we’re launching a dedicated marketing event on Weddingwire starting July 21 through August 20 to help move couples from browsing to booking. To make the most of this initiative, log in to your WeddingPro account to add a deal.
- Always-on Social & Campaigns: We’re continuously leveraging influencers and creators (aka our Wedding Party Ambassador program) to expand our reach and fuel vendor discovery, tapping into culture to drive couple interest straight to our marketplace directories. All in, we’ve grown consumer reach more than 20% year over year.
- Building Trust: To give couples more confidence when reaching out, we’ve rolled out the Peace of Mind badge for premium vendor Storefronts on The Knot. We’ve heard great feedback from couples on this—
- and our testing showed that couples who saw the Peace of Mind Badge on a vendor’s Storefront were more likely to reach out.
- and our testing showed that couples who saw the Peace of Mind Badge on a vendor’s Storefront were more likely to submit a lead.
- So, we’re expanding visibility and amping up our consumer marketing to build on that trust. Combined with our new no-fee Venmo cash registry, we’re keeping couples highly active on our platforms and confident in their vendor choices.
What pros can do: Because our marketing engine is funneling fresh eyes to the marketplaces daily, take ten minutes this week to ensure your Storefronts are fully updated with your latest work, accurate details and high-quality imagery to stand out to active couples browsing
Pairing your pipeline with tools that help convert
Visibility matters most when you can convert that attention into bookings. Your WeddingPro membership includes time-saving tools directly in your account to help you seal the deal:
- Automating Your Workflow: If you haven’t activated Auto Follow-Ups yet, now is the perfect time. Built directly from vendor feedback, this feature automatically nudges inactive leads. You can customize your sequence by adjusting the number of follow ups and wait-days between them, while using Smart Fields to auto-populate client details and adding attachments to keep messages personalized. We’ve found that couples are nearly 30% more likely to respond to Auto Follow-ups than a manually sent vendor response later.
- Staying Connected on the Go: Downloading our iOS app ensures you stay instantly connected to incoming inquiries from anywhere. Plus, keep an eye out for our new AI-powered responses which are currently in beta in the mobile app. We’re designing this feature to drastically simplify and speed up your replies.
- Tackling Ghosting: To address the industry’s number one frustration, we’ve expanded our couple-facing Close the Loop tool to iOS. This feature makes it easy for couples to notify you if they decide to go in another direction, saving you from chasing dead ends. Since the feature launched in October, more than 350k couples have closed the loop with vendors.
What pros can do: Don’t let leads go cold. Activate Auto Follow-Ups to keep your booking pipeline moving automatically while you are out working events, and download the iOS app to stay connected on the go.
Connecting and learning together
Supporting small businesses goes far beyond software, and so does your WeddingPro membership. Here’s just a taste of the in-person and virtual community programming we have planned:
- Local VIPro Socials: While we loved celebrating our industry’s immense talent on a grand scale at The Knot 30th Anniversary Gala, we’re equally focused on keeping those conversations going in smaller settings. We’re bringing local events to Park City, Des Moines, Houston, and Los Angeles in the coming months so you can connect and learn alongside peers in your area.
- Virtual Learning & Vodcasts: If you aren’t in those specific cities, there are still plenty of virtual opportunities to connect. Mark your calendars for our next Vendor Voices vodcast on July 29, where we’ll break down exactly how AI search can impact your wedding business.
- Expanding Access to Resources: We recently announced the recipients of our 2026 Small Business Grant Program, and were blown away by the response of over 1,000 applicants. We also co-hosted a webinar with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to share how small business owners can navigate funding programs nationwide.
What pros can do: Make the most of your WeddingPro membership! Take a moment this week to check out the WeddingPro blog and Community Calendar to make learning, connecting and growing a priority for your business. Additionally, your membership includes access to business support, including Help Guides, Chat support, and extended customer support hours.
