Sage Cakery is a brick-and-mortar bakery in Urbana, Maryland, specializing in custom cakes.

Owner and creative director Nikkie Byrd launched the business right around the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite opening at such an unstable time, her business whisked to the top. Still, Nikkie faced the challenge of presenting her business in a way that attracted dream couples and kept her competitive in a fast-changing industry.
