D.C. Social Event Recap
ByAnother month means another amazing WeddingPro event is in the books! This time, we headed to the Nation’s Capital to host our D.C. Social to build even more community among local pros. And, let us tell you, it did not disappoint.
Sponsored by Freixenet and Graham + Fisk, the Social was hosted at the Long View Gallery, an art gallery located in the heart of Washington, D.C. The venue has a fun, swanky and casual vibe that was the perfect backdrop for our event. And, it gave our attendees ample space to mingle, grab a snack and drink and enjoy all the amenities our amazing planner, Jane of Cheers Darling Events, had in store for the night.
As the evening kicked off, guests could either head over to the Strategy Bar to talk all things advertising with our onsite Storefront experts or go deeper into the venue to grab a delicious drink provided by our sponsors.
After mingling for a bit, Educator Kaleigh Wiese invited attendees to participate in a community conversation about setting boundaries and how pros can embrace their “no”. During the conversation, Kaleigh encouraged pros to share their own tips on how they have set boundaries in the past, which helped to foster even more conversation during and after the talk. She also chatted through tactics pros can use to be more descriptive when talking about their brand and how they can use those strategies to build deeper connections with both clients and pros.
Once the community conversation was over, everyone was encouraged to continue mingling as they enjoyed the signature drinks of the evening, light bites and more substantial plated options provided by our catering partner Heirloom Catering. Throughout the event, the live musicians from Lucy Black Entertainment did an amazing job keeping the energy high. Additionally, the space was decked out with amazing amenities, like a photo booth provided by Booth-o-Rama and a digital floral installation by Floral & Bloom.
The D.C. Social was an event to remember, and we couldn’t have done it without the help of all of the local vendors that provided their services.
