Here’s to You: Celebrating National Small Business Week with our WeddingPro Community

By

Small business owners are the heart and soul of the wedding industry, and deserve to be celebrated. This week we’re celebrating National Small Business Week by showing our love and expanding our support for you, our community of wedding pros.

From florists and photographers to bakers, planners, officiants, DJs, and every talented creative in between—you are the magic-makers behind unforgettable celebrations. And, believe me, I know you’re not just business owners. You’re artists, problem-solvers, occasional relationship counselors, peacemakers and innovators. You wear a hundred hats and always show up, do your best and bring weddings to life. You turn vision boards into reality and create moments that become treasured memories for thousands of couples, families and friends.

Supporting small businesses isn’t just something I care about—it’s woven into my sense of purpose and shows up in the work I do every day as the CEO of The Knot Worldwide. I’m honored to support more than 900,000 global small businesses across The Knot Worldwide, and my commitment to you and your success is unwavering.

This National Small Business Week is a chance to put you at the center of celebration. To kick things off, we’re showing love to our community with gift bundle giveaways on social, sharing hand-picked educational resources to support your growth, and sprinkling in a few surprises along the way. (Tip: make sure you’re following us @WeddingPro on Instagram).

In addition to a fun week ahead, I’m thrilled to announce updates on how we are continuing to raise the bar on lead quality, support, and transparency:

  • We know getting support when you need it is critical. That’s why we’re extending customer support hours by three hours daily effective immediately to better meet your needs.
  • In our last update, we shared how we’re tackling ghosting – a common frustration – by giving you more visibility into what’s happening with your leads. As of May 1st, you’ll see couples “close the loop” directly in your WeddingPro Inbox—sharing if there’s a specific reason they’ve decided not to move forward (e.g., “doesn’t fit our budget”). This added visibility helps you better understand their decision-making and will save you time on follow-ups. We’re also continuing to improve this experience so that, in the near future, you’ll be notified anytime a couple marks ‘not interested,’ even if they choose not to follow up with a direct message.
  • We’ve updated Storefronts to highlight key info like pricing and availability—so you connect with more qualified leads who are ready to book. Plus, your dashboard now includes the new Pro Playbook, giving you clear, actionable steps to help boost performance.
  • We are in the local community hosting our VIPro Socials, come join us in Chicago, Philadelphia, and Columbus in the coming weeks!

There is much more to come! Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue the conversation during our next WeddingPro Community Town Hall on June 24 at 1:00pm (register here), where I’ll share more about the actions we’re taking in response to your feedback and the progress we’re making—building on the improvements shared in our last update from Casey Moujaes, our VP of Vendor Marketing.

Thank you for all you do and the joy you bring into every celebration you touch. Your work matters. Your story matters. We see you, and we’re raising the bar (and our glasses) to you.

Happy National Small Business Week from your friends at WeddingPro!
