First Look with Raina: Raising the Bar on Lead Quality

Hi WeddingPro Community,

As the CEO of The Knot Worldwide, I’ve been focused on raising the bar and transforming your experience. And since starting this role in January, I’ve mobilized our teams to focus on the three priority areas that you’ve said matter to you:

  1. Delivering quality matches
  2. Creating easy-to-use, time-saving tools
  3. Providing expanded and improved support

We’re making changes to improve each of these, and on July 23, I’ll be hosting our next WeddingPro update to walk you through what’s new and what’s ahead. 

Here’s a “first look” at two improvements that directly address lead quality:

Tackling ghosting

Ghosting is a reality these days—whether on dating apps, in job searches or even in wedding marketplaces. Couples reach out to vendors and then they go dark with no reply and no explanation.

We’re committed to creating a better experience where you’re not left hanging or wasting time wondering if a lead is still active. We’ve already launched a new feature that asks couples to officially close out a conversation if they go in a different direction, making it easier for them to let you know it’s not a fit—and for you to move on with confidence.

For me, this is beautiful…it allows me to spend the time on either a client or on my business in a way that’s going to be the most efficient.

Next, we’ll improve this feature with automatic notifications that let you know when a couple archives your conversation, giving you more transparency and time to focus on leads that are actually moving forward.

We’re also educating couples to help them understand why closing out conversations with vendors matters. Closing the loop isn’t just polite—it creates clarity and contributes to a smoother experience for everyone involved. 

We’re confident these changes will make a big difference, and there’s much more to come to deliver quality matches. 

Badges that help you stand out

You play a huge role in ensuring your Storefront is discoverable and drives quality leads. When your Storefront is complete and up to date, couples are more likely to find you—and reach out. In fact, vendors who fully complete their Storefronts see 60% more two-way conversations on average than those who don’t.

Now, we’re highlighting Storefronts that were recently updated with a new “Recently Updated” badge in search results.
